A Coalition of California Physicians, Nurses & Caregivers

When healthcare is on the ballot,
doctors show up.

Xavier Becerra spent his career bringing the cost of care down - negotiating drug prices, saving the ACA, and taking on the health systems that put profit over patients. Now we need providers at the table to help build the system California deserves.

Why We Stand

Doctors don't endorse candidates lightly.

Medi-Cal Is Under Threat

Fifteen million Californians depend on Medi-Cal. Federal rollback proposals would devastate our most vulnerable patients. Xavier Becerra will fight to protect every dollar.

Drug Prices Are Unsustainable

We watch patients ration insulin and skip medications every day. Becerra built CalRx and has the track record to actually bend the cost curve. This is personal for us.

He Listens to Physicians

As California AG and U.S. HHS Secretary, Xavier Becerra worked alongside clinicians - not against them. He understands what happens at the bedside.

I've seen what happens when healthcare policy fails patients. We can't afford to get this election wrong. That's why I'm standing with Xavier Becerra.

Becerra's Health Plan

Six priorities where his leadership will directly impact patient outcomes across California.

The Issues

What we're fighting for in 2026.

Priority 01 - Medi-Cal Defense

Protecting coverage for 15 million Californians

Medi-Cal is the backbone of California's healthcare safety net. As federal cuts are proposed in Washington, we need a governor who will go to the mat to protect enrollees - especially low-income families, seniors, people with disabilities, and undocumented immigrants who have nowhere else to turn.

Priority 02 - Drug Pricing & CalRx

Making medications affordable for every Californian

As HHS Secretary, Becerra fought pharmaceutical companies on insulin prices. As Governor, he will expand CalRx - California's generic drug initiative - and use the state's purchasing power to negotiate lower prices on the medications patients actually need.

Priority 03 - Reproductive Healthcare

Ensuring every woman receives the care she needs

California must remain a safe haven for reproductive healthcare. Becerra will defend existing protections, ensure abortion access statewide, and fight against federal attempts to restrict reproductive rights in our state.

Priority 04 - Healthcare Workforce

Solving California's physician shortage crisis

California faces a growing physician shortage - especially in rural and underserved communities. Becerra's plan expands loan forgiveness, community health worker pipelines, and residency slots to get more providers where patients need them most.

Priority 05 - Telehealth

Expanding access to rural and underserved communities

The pandemic proved telehealth works. Becerra will make pandemic-era telehealth expansions permanent, invest in broadband infrastructure, and close the rural digital divide so every Californian can see a doctor from home.

Priority 06 - Corporate Accountability

Taking on health systems that put profit over patients

Becerra spent a decade as California's AG going after pharmaceutical companies and insurance corporations. As Governor, he'll strengthen price transparency laws, cap executive pay at nonprofit hospitals, and hold insurers accountable for denying care.

Disaster Readiness

After the LA fires, California's healthcare system must be built to withstand what's coming. Becerra will make it so.

The Plan

A climate-ready healthcare system.

Disaster-Resilient Hospitals

Mandate seismic and wildfire upgrades for all critical care facilities. Ensure backup power and water for every hospital and clinic in high-risk zones.

Emergency Drug & Supply Stockpiles

Build a California-controlled strategic reserve of essential medications, PPE, and medical equipment so we're never caught unprepared again.

Telehealth Emergency Protocols

Pre-authorize telehealth surge capacity so physicians can treat displaced patients remotely within hours of a disaster declaration - not weeks.

Community Health Worker Rapid Response

Deploy trained CHWs as the first line of care in evacuation zones, reducing ER overcrowding and getting care to people who can't self-evacuate.

Climate & Health Equity Task Force

Create a permanent cross-agency body to ensure that disaster preparedness plans center low-income communities, seniors, and people with disabilities.

"After the LA fires, I treated patients in parking lots. We cannot let this happen again. California needs a governor who will fund disaster preparedness before the next disaster - not after."
